The Space Within in BaltimoreBrew

As we are now in mid-summer and high time for Baltimore street festivals, I am thinking back to my experience during HONfest last June. I shared this article after that event, and I thought I’d reshare it now, as the debacle created by HONfest organizers was no doubt a catalyst in their decision to “retire” from hosting the event moving forward. A lot of vendors who relied on this very large, two-day street festival are no doubt disappointed to lose this opportunity to sustain their businesses. Fingers crossed that scheduling issues that contributed to last year’s messiness are resolved this year and all of the street festivals are able to happen—hopefully this will help make up for the lack of the anchor (in every good and bad meaning of that word) HONfest has been in Baltimore for the last 25 years.
