Reiki is a universal life-force energy than can be accessed for healing on every level of being. People who receive Reiki trainings are attuned to an increasingly high vibration of this healing energy and trained to serve as conduits for this energy so that they can offer it to other people.

The Space Within’s founder, Melisa Mitchell, is a certified Holy Fire® III Usui and Karuna® Reiki Master Teacher, offering workshops for all levels of Usui and Karuna® Reiki. These systems include symbols that are intentional containers for the energy, to help the practitioner offer healing for the highest good of themselves, their clients, their family members, and the world.

Reiki trainings are an opportunity for practitioners of every level to learn in community with like-minded people at a similar place in their healing journeys. All classes include handouts or manuals, free Reiki mentoring from Melisa, and a chance to learn from, practice, and teach each other.

reiki workshops

  • Learn about the origin, history, and nature of Usui Reiki, which is the most common Reiki system. You will experience guided meditations and deep healing experiences, receive access to Reiki energy, and learn how to use it as part of your own spiritual practice and for self-healing.

  • Learn more about the nature of Reiki and how it can be used to heal others, both in-person and remotely, across time and space. You will receive access to the first three Usui Reiki symbols and will learn how to use them in helping to heal yourself and others. You will also learn the basic methods for animal Reiki.

    PLEASE NOTE: You must have already received your Reiki I attunement or placement prior to taking this class. Please email me a copy of your certificate at the time of registration.

  • Completing this class will qualify students as Advanced Reiki Practitioners. The class includes a deeper dive into Usui Reiki symbols and their energies, instruction for how to create and use a Reiki crystal grid, how to incorporate crystals into a Reiki session, deep healing experiences and guided meditations, practice doing Reiki Master meditations (including movement meditation), and access to the Usui Reiki master symbol.

    PLEASE NOTE: You must have already received your Reiki I and II attunements or placements prior to taking this class. Please email me a copy of your certificate(s) at the time of registration, unless you took Reiki II with me.

  • In this two-day class, you will receive the Holy Fire® III ignition that will allow you to offer all levels of Usui Reiki training to your own students. You will also receive training to lead Holy Fire® III healing experiences with clients and students and to perform the spirit-clearing practice that will release low-vibration energies from your clients, your students, your loved ones, and you.

    If you are already a Usui Reiki Master but do not have Holy Fire® of any level, this two-day class will introduce you to this high-vibration energy, give you access to it for use in your Reiki practice, and will give you what you need to teach both online and in-person classes using the placement and ignition system rather than attunements.

    PLEASE NOTE: This is a two-day class, with a one-hour pre-ignition session the evening before. You must attend all three sessions to earn your certification, but the pre-ignition can be done remotely. You must already have your Advanced Reiki Training or Reiki IIIA certification to take this class—please email a copy of your certificate at the time of registration or sign up to attend my next Advanced Reiki Training class.

  • “Karuna” is a Sanskrit word that means “compassionate action.” Karuna® Reiki is Reiki of compassionate action, rooted in the fact that we are all one. This system, developed by William Lee Rand, connects to energy of a much finer vibration and is, therefore, even more deeply healing than the energy of the Usui system.

    The four symbols of the first level of Karuna® Reiki are focused on healing on a cellular level, as well as healing past trauma and abuse, negative patterns resulting in and from addiction, karmic and past-life issues, and the shadow self. It replaces these with love, connection with spirit, compassion, harmony, manifestation, and affirmation.

    PREREQUISITE: You must have received your Holy Fire® III Usui Reiki Master level attunement/placement no less than 6 months ago. (If you are a Reiki Master but do not have Holy Fire® III, you can reach out for information about how to proceed.) Please email a copy of your certificate at the time of registration!

  • The four symbols of the second level of Karuna® Reiki link you more strongly with your higher self, help you claim your power, bring peace and trust in this life, and are deeply grounding to help you move forward in every aspect of your healing and growth. The energies of these symbols can also be used to send intentional healing to the Earth and to connect with the energies of all aspects of nature.

    PREREQUISITE: You must already have taken Holy Fire® III Karuna® I. Please email a copy of your certificate at the time of registration!

  • This class gives you access to the Karuna® Reiki master symbol, which connects you with Holy Fire® energy, amplifying your intentions and deepening the healing and effects of every other symbol.
